How to prevent auto web form spam bots?
Unfortunately with web forms in general, it's possible for spam bots to crawl through websites (usually randomly) and submit forms with junk messages.
In Touch Forms, we recommend specifying certain fields or paragraphs as "Required", this will make it mandatory for the form filler to complete these fields, setting up a potential barrier for spammers.
In addition, please add a "Bot checker" whenever possible, this will output a randomly generated simple math addition question. Only a correct answer will trigger the form to be submitted.
If you are able to detect the spammer's IP from your web server logs, you can also set up a ban at the web server level.
